Can I port a number from a contract line?

< 1 min read

Maybe – but only when your current provider allows it #

If your number is still tied to a contract, your current provider may refuse the port until that contract has ended, been cancelled, or met their release conditions.

Before you request a port #

  • Check whether your contract has expired.
  • Ask your current provider whether the number can be released.
  • Confirm whether any notice period or settlement is required.

Best practice #

If you are unsure, sort out the contract side first and then start the Tuks Mobile port request. It saves time and avoids the classic “application looks fine but nothing moves” problem.

If you still want service immediately #

You can often activate a new Tuks Mobile number first and port later once the old provider clears your number for release.
