How to activate your eSIM on iPhone

Before you begin #

• Check that your iPhone supports eSIM.
• Make sure the device is network unlocked.
• Complete RICA first, or make sure it is in progress.
• Have a stable Wi-Fi connection ready for setup.

Typical setup steps on iPhone #

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Mobile Data or Cellular.
3. Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
4. Scan the QR code or use the activation details supplied to you.
5. Follow the prompts to label and enable the line.
6. Restart the device if needed.

If it does not connect right away #

• Turn airplane mode on and off.
• Check that the eSIM line is enabled in settings.
• Confirm RICA approval has been completed.
• Reconnect to Wi-Fi and retry the install if necessary.

Once it is working, your iPhone should treat it just like a normal mobile plan – minus the tiny plastic rectangle.
