Temporary number vs your ported number: what’s the difference?

Why you may see a temporary number first #

During signup, Tuks Mobile may activate your service with a temporary number while your existing number is being ported. This keeps your setup moving while the transfer happens in the background.

What the temporary number is for #

• Testing your SIM or eSIM
• Completing early setup steps
• Letting you know the line is alive while porting finishes

What changes after porting #

Once the port is successful, your original number becomes the number attached to your Tuks Mobile line. The temporary number then falls away.

Do this during the switch #

• Keep both SIM journeys in mind until you get final confirmation.
• Tell friends or family there may be a short transition period.
• Update saved contacts only after the port is complete if needed.
